Whether you’re single, married, staying in, or going out I’ve put together a range of fun options of how you can enjoy your Valentine’s Day this year.

One thing I like to say to myself is, “What is the next best thing I can do for myself?” Usually when I say this, I’m not talking big picture. I generally don’t mean implementing a career change, or starting a whole new workout program, or apologizing to everyone I’ve ever hurt.

I feel like so often we look at past versions of ourselves with judgment and disapproval. We put on these lenses that make us think we should have been better or done better.

It’s okay to fail, but it’s not okay to not try. I think our society has it backward much of the time though. We think it’s better to avoid failure at all costs, even if that means going our entire lives with bottled up dreams and untapped opportunity.

Happy World Compassion Day! According to dictionary.com, compassion is the “feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.”
